Welcome to Château d’Artigues!

We are delighted to welcome you. To ensure a pleasant stay for all our guests, we kindly ask that you adhere to the following Code of Conduct:

The guesthouse is not an establishment freely open to the public; it is a family welcoming you into their home. Guests are received in a private residence, and the owners are happy to share and showcase their way of life during your stay. However, Château d’Artigues is not a hotel; as such, we may regret the absence of heating and/or air conditioning, as well as the limited supply of hot water. Occasionally, during periods of drought, the village may be subject to water restrictions.

Château d’Artigues, an ancient residence, is unfortunately not suitable for persons with disabilities.

Château d’Artigues is not suitable for accommodating children.

Respect the Property
Guests agree to use the rooms and common areas provided to them in a reasonable manner. Any behavior contrary to the principles of safety, hygiene, decency, or public order may result in Château d’Artigues asking the concerned guests to leave the premises without refund. We kindly ask you to treat the rooms and furnishings with care. Any damage to the apartment or its contents beyond normal wear and tear may incur additional charges.
Noise Level
Please keep noise to a minimum in order to respect other guests and neighbors and to maintain the serenity of the premises.
No Unauthorized Guests
Only the guests registered at the time of booking are allowed to stay in the rooms, lounges, and outdoor areas. Guests may not bring additional persons onto the property without the express permission of Château d’Artigues.
Smoking Policy
For safety reasons and out of respect for everyone, smoking is prohibited inside the castle.
If you wish to smoke outdoors, please be mindful of the proximity of non-smoking guests. Dispose of your cigarette butts responsibly in the ashtrays provided. During dry seasons, smoking in the forested area is strictly forbidden.
Pet Policy
Our animal friends are not accepted.
Check-in and Check-out
Please adhere to the check-in time from 15:00 and the check-out time of 11:00 on the final day of your reservation; otherwise, an additional day’s charge will apply. Late arrivals or early departures must be arranged in advance and may incur additional fees.
Safety and Security
Always lock the doors and windows when you leave your room. Do not disclose your room number or security details to strangers.
Waste Disposal
Please dispose of waste regularly and responsibly by using the designated bins and following the recycling guidelines.
Compliance with Laws
All guests are required to comply with local laws and regulations. Any illegal activity will be reported to the authorities.
Château d’Artigues reserves the right to refuse service or expel anyone whose attire is indecent, intended to conceal their identity (Law No. 2010-1192 of October 11, 2010), or whose behavior is disruptive due to intoxication or noise. Proper attire is required in the common areas of the castle and its surroundings, and guests must be courteous and respectful towards the staff and owners, under penalty of exclusion without refund.
Right to Privacy
The right to privacy and tranquility is sacred. To respect the privacy and image rights of other guests, guests are prohibited from taking photos/videos of residents within the premises of Château d’Artigues or its outbuildings, or from publishing them. “Château d’Artigues” is a registered trademark, and the image rights of Château d’Artigues are protected.

The Swimming Pool at Château d’Artigues
In accordance with French regulations regarding the use of family pools open to guests, and to prevent accidents involving both children and adults while ensuring an enjoyable experience for all, please observe the following pool rules: Since the pool is a family pool, its use is reserved exclusively for the owners’ family and guests staying in the guesthouse.
- By using the pool, the user agrees to these rules.
- Opening hours are from 9:00 to 20:00 during high season, and from 10:00 to 19:00 during low season.
(Shorter hours may apply depending on activity.)
- No child under 14 years old, unless accompanied by an adult, is allowed access to the pool area. Children’s use of the pool is under the full supervision and responsibility of their parents.
- The access code is provided only to parents and must not be shared with children.
- The owners remind guests that the pool is unsupervised. The pool is a Zen space—all noisy games, throwing objects, diving, and jumping from the edge are prohibited. The owner accepts no responsibility in the event of non-compliance with these rules and may revoke previously granted access to the pool without any compensation.
- Any accident occurring to a guest is their sole responsibility.
- Pool users agree to:
  - Enjoy the pool area in a convivial atmosphere while respecting everyone’s privacy.
  - Shower thoroughly before entering the pool, especially after applying creams or sunscreen.
  - Wear a swimsuit designated solely for swimming.
  - Not bring any food or beverages, except still water, to the pool area.
  - Ensure that every pool user is covered by liability insurance with legal defense and recourse.
  - Not move about outside the pool area in swimwear.
  - While smoking is a personal choice, we kindly ask you to respect non-smokers by refraining if necessary.
The owners may revoke any previously granted authorization without compensation in the event of a breach of any of the above rules.

By booking a stay at Château d’Artigues, you agree to abide by this Code of Conduct. Failure to comply with these rules may result in sanctions, including expulsion from the property.
